Thanks for visiting!

Because of a recent post on the lighttpd forum, I have decided to release my binary and source rpms of version 1.4.12. I built these all on an up to date version of RedHat Enterprise Linux version 4 (RHEL4). These rpms should work on both RedHat and Fedora. My versioning notes it as ‘KWEL4′; my ‘Enterprise Linux’ rpms.
Please note that you will need gamin (part of the standard distro) and lua, which I am also providing. Also note that if you want to install the mod_mysql_vhost rpm, you will need to have mysql (of course) and perl-DBI installed, both of which are part of the standard distro.

  1. Maxxie Says:

:( why not releasing Lighttpd 1.4.12 for Windows!!

  2. Kev Says:

Maxxie: There’s a critical bug in 1.4.12, so I am waiting for 1.4.13’s sources to be released before I build the next Windows version.

  3. Maxxie Says:

    Thanks Kev,

I can’t wait to see the new version. :)

  4. Martin Says:

Kev, is the critical bug in 1.4.12 you mention in the above comment windows-specific?

  5. Kev Says:

Martin: I do not think it is Windows specific, rather it probably affects all platforms. Lighty seg-faults every few hours using that version. See the ticket here: http://trac.lighttpd.net/trac/ticket/876

I think 1.4.13 is coming out relatively soon. This site is running a 1.4.13 ‘beta’ that I built from the Subversion source repository, and it’s been running fine since early yesterday (Sunday Oct 9th). Sit tight, the next version will be out shortly.

  6. Martin Says:

Kev: thanks alot for the quick & informative response!

  7. Kev Says:

    Martin: no problem…
