nginx 0.6.30 for Windows – now Vista compatible

PLEASE NOTE: Native Nginx Windows builds are available at http://nginx.net
(My announcement was here: Nginx for Windows Native Builds.)
The last available Nginx for Windows build that I created using Cygwin was Nginx for Windows 0.7.50, the full page of my builds are located here: Nginx For Windows.
Updated September 29, 2009.

The latest nginx 0.6.30 for Windows release brings Windows Vista compatibility. It was built on Vista Ultimate 32-bit and was tested on Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000 Pro.

As usual, nginx was compiled using Cygwin. If you have the cygwin1.dll on your system, you may have a conflict that won’t let you run nginx. Remove any other instances of Cygwin and it should work.

This easy-to-use setup package is was created to let anyone easily try out nginx on Windows. It should probably not be used in a production environment and I will likely not have the time to help if you run into problems. It works for me and may help your development efforts in some way. It’s a proof or concept – use it at your own risk!

If you find it useful, please use the PayPal Donate link on the sidebar to give a few cents. Thanks.
